Write and maintain code faster

I listened to a lot of Microsoft presentations about Visual Studio .NET 2005 the other day. What all the presentations had in common was that (ObjectSpaces wasn't mentioned once, but I'll get back to that another time, and) they said something like "and all this was done with zero lines of code", after just having built a huge web site, the control system for a space craft or something like that. After a while I started wondering "why"? I like code. Why shouldnít we use code? For the right things, I mean. Well, I guess itís a demoware thing...

Later I met Mark Miller. He is the Chief Architect of the Tools Division of Developer Express. He showed me their CodeRush product and I liked it a lot. In fact I liked it so much that Iím now using it all the time when writing code. It helps me write code in Visual Studio .NET much faster and actually write better code at the same time.
